چکیده
The present work proposes a continuous solar adsorption refrigerator for positive cold storage room of 231 m3 used fruits and vegetables preservation installed in the south Tunisia. After estimation cooling load which is equal to 13 kW, parametric study, aims improve performance chiller done order achieve need estimate required heat generator. A theoretical model, based on thermodynamics process, mass transfer within porous medium energy balance system components, developed simulation with Matlab/Simulink, carried out. model was established validated literature experimental data.A maximum coefficient 0.52 22 kW are reached at cycle time 800 seconds. inlet temperatures heating, chilled water 85°C, 22°C 15°C, respectively.

The nutritional value of indigenous fruits and vegetables in Sarawak.
The proximate composition including mineral and vitamin contents of 16 fruits and 46 vegetables (leaves, fruits, palm hearts and shoots) of indigenous origin in Sarawak are provided. Fruits like dabai (Canarium odontophyllum), kembayau (Dacryodes rostrata f. cuspidata), durian nyekak (Durio kutejensis) and durian kuning (Durio graveolens) are very nutritious with high values for energy, protein...
متن کاملModelling Modified Atmosphere Packaging for Fruits and Vegetables using Membrane Systems
As living materials, post-harvested fruits and vegetables continue their metabolic activity, exhibiting progressive biochemical changes. Optimisation of environmental conditions during storage of these fresh commodities is required in order to increase their shelf life. In this work we use P systems to abstract molecular interactions that occur between plant organ, film and surrounding atmosphe...
متن کاملSimulation Study of Continuous Solar Adsorption Refrigeration System Driven by Compound Parabolic Concentrator
Solar adsorption refrigeration is promising technology especially in the developing countries and remote areas because the system can be driven by solar energy without involving electricity. Therefore, it is technologically possible and socially feasible in the areas where electricity is not enough but solar energy is rather easy to obtain. The conventional system works intermittently and produ...
متن کاملVitamin retention in eight fruits and vegetables: a comparison of refrigerated and frozen storage.
Four vitamins were analyzed in several fruit and vegetable commodities to evaluate the differences between fresh and frozen produce. Ascorbic acid, riboflavin, α-tocopherol, and β-carotene were evaluated in corn, carrots, broccoli, spinach, peas, green beans, strawberries, and blueberries. Samples of each commodity were harvested, processed, and analyzed for nutrient content at three storage ti...
